A Trail Hike for Two

If you plan to “say it with flowers,” why not make it the wildflowers that grow alongside the Presidio’s 24 miles of trails? In the spring and early summer, wildflowers and non-native species abound throughout the park. If dramatic coastal views make your heart go pitter patter, the Batteries to Bluffs trail can’t be beat, especially at sunset. Inland, the picturesque Lovers Lane, the park’s oldest trail, is made for strolling hand-in-hand. If nothing else, a hike will make you fall in love with San Francisco all over again.

Pack a Picnic

Pack a picnic and take your sweetie to the Presidio for a low-key date for two. The Presidio is home to some of San Francisco’s best picnic areas – many with unbeatable Golden Gate Bridge views. If you’re looking for that quintessential picnic in San Francisco, either near the water or surrounded by nature, check out one of our six favorites in the park.

Get Cozy Around a Fire

Nothing says romance quite like snuggling around a fire-pit on a cloudy day or for an evening of star gazing with your beloved. The Lodge at the Presidio and the Inn at the Presidio offers guests fire-pits with gorgeous views of either the Golden Gate Bridge or Presidio Forest. For the adventurous pair, try camping at Rob Hill Campground, the Presidio’s only campground, where a fire ring is included with every camp site. You can also gather around the campfire circle at Presidio Tunnel Tops for that classic national park experience with evening Ranger Talks or gazing at the stunning views of the Main Post and historic Montgomery Street barracks.

Savor a Romantic Meal in the Park

If you’re looking for the ultimate dining experience, head to the Presidio for a range of romantic spots to enjoy with your special someone. Indulge in authentic Mexican flavors at Colibri Mexican Bistro or share an Eastern Mediterranean feast inspired by Presidio ingredients at Dalida. For something more casual, head to Il Parco for a slice of pizza paired with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge or Ironwoods Bar & Grill for a meal overlooking the beautiful Presidio Golf Course.
