Fleet Week is back, and the Presidio is one of the best places to take in the excitement of the air show and the Blue Angels performances. Here’s what you need to know before you head to the park.
The Presidio is located at the northern edge of San Francisco, right next to the Golden Gate Bridge. Whether you bike, shuttle, bus, or drive, there are plenty of ways to reach the park. Public transit and the free Presidio GO Shuttle are your best bets to avoid traffic and limited parking. More driving and parking details can be found in the FAQ below.

Lincoln Boulevard (from Sheridan to Graham), Mason Street (from Marina Boulevard), and Halleck Street close at 1:30 p.m. on Sat, Oct 11 and Sun, Oct 12. Roads reopen after the air show each evening. Expect traffic delays and flaggers directing vehicles.
Yes. Cars already parked on Mason or Halleck Streets may exit after 1:30 p.m., but no new vehicles can enter once closures are in place.
Use the designated zones near the Visitor Center/Transit Center and Outpost Meadow for safe drop-off and pick-up.
We encourage you to take public transportation – the free Presidio GO Shuttle (Downtown Route from Embarcadero BART or South Hills inside the park) takes you directly to the Transit Center. Muni and Golden Gate Transit also serve the Presidio, with connections from across the Bay Area.
Yes! The Presidio is a cyclist paradise with bike lanes, Shared Streets, and scenic routes. Bike share and rentals are available once you arrive and we encourage you to take your own wheels to get to the park.
Paid parking is available near the Visitor Center, Presidio Tunnel Tops, and Crissy Field, but spaces are limited. Rates are $6/hour or $30/day in Main Post and Crissy Field lots. Observe signage and keep in mind road closures.
