Biking and Bike Rentals

There’s no better way to explore the Presidio than on two wheels.

Bicycling is a great way to explore the Presidio’s outdoor beauty and fun.

The park features miles of bike trails, bike lanes, and Slow Streets. You can also rent a bicycle in the Presidio or pick one up through Bay Wheels Bike Share. On a typical day, you’ll see hundreds of happy cyclists enjoying a spin around the park and even over the Golden Gate Bridge.

Getting to the Presidio on a Bike

Use Google Maps to plan the best bike route to the park from wherever you are. If you’re looking to save energy for some of San Francisco’s best bike trails in the Presidio, bring your bike on the free Presidio GO Shuttle Downtown Route, which offers daily direct service from the Transbay Terminal and Embarcadero BART to the park.
