​About the Presidio Transit Center

The Presidio Transit Center is the park’s transportation hub. It’s located in the heart of the Presidio on the Main Post next to the Presidio Visitor Center. The following services are available.

Presidio GO Shuttle

Free Presidio GO Shuttle

The Presidio's free transit service, the Presidio GO Shuttle, begins and ends its routes at the Transit Center. There are two routes. Presidio GO Downtown offers service between the Transbay Terminal, Embarcadero BART, and Union Street/Van Ness Avenue and the Presidio. The Presidio GO South Hills services Baker Beach and connects with the Richmond District. Presidio GO serves more than 25 destinations within the Presidio. Shuttles r​un daily. Muni Bus

Muni Bus Service

Muni 43 Masonic serves the Presidio Transit Center in two directions – towards Fort Mason and towards Crocker Amazon, through the heart of the city. This bus line runs daily and provides access to tourist destinations like Golden Gate Park. Muni 30 Stockton connects the Presidio to Chinatown and Union Square and is located on Mason Street, a 5 minute walk from the Presidio Transit Center. Learn more about the Muni Network >>

Electric bike

Bike Share

Bike share is convenient, healthy, climate-friendly transportation option. Bay Wheels is the Bay Area's regional bike share program and you can find stations within the Presidio and throughout San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. Classic bikes and e-bikes can be picked up and dropped off at Bay Wheels stations. E-bikes can also be locked to bike racks throughout the park.
