What to Expect at this Event

Forest Stewards learn about urban forestry and arboriculture while tending to young trees and native plants in reforestation areas and assisting with forest maintenance. Our Wednesday Forest Stewards program focuses on increasing the biodiversity of our forest restoration sites and caring for the native plants growing beneath our trees. Activities include mulching, removing invasive or non-desirable plants, pruning, and seed collection. All ages are welcome.

Registration is required on the  Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy volunteer website. The specific meeting location will be provided in the registration confirmation email.

Learn about the Volunteer Agreement Form, what to bring, and opportunity for groups on our Presidio Habitat and Forest Stewards page.

The Golden Gate National Parks Volunteer Program is a cooperative parkwide effort of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and the Presidio Trust.
