What to Expect at This Event

Take part in the City Nature Challenge with a guided bioblitz at Lobos Creek in the Presidio. Participants will explore the area in small groups to observe and document local plants, animals, and fungi, contributing to a global effort to record urban biodiversity.

Naturalists will be on hand to help identify species and guide observations with tools like binoculars and hand lenses available. Participants are encouraged to use the iNaturalist app or a camera to record findings. The program emphasizes close observation and connection to place, inviting participants to slow down and engage with the environment. The group will reconvene to share discoveries, and attendees are welcome to bring lunch. Registration is required for each participant.
