Art in the Presidio

Art in the Presidio engages visitors with a sense of welcome and delight.

The Art in the Presidio program inspires visitors to experience and understand the national park site in new ways.

Since 2008, more than a dozen temporary exhibitions have invited thousands of people to see the park through a new lens. Artists bring their unique perspective to the park’s nature, history, and culture – telling new, unexpected, and sometimes untold stories.

Art in the Presidio creates a sense of welcome, wonder, and delight, building a deep appreciation for and lasting connections to the park. It’s not just about the final art piece, but about inviting communities to explore, building a Presidio that’s visited and loved by everyone.
