National Geographic Live at Presidio Theatre

Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Crissy Field’s restoration with Poetry in the Parks: Share Your Voice, a series of free poetry workshops inspired by the landscapes of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Led by acclaimed poet Jodie Hollander, these guided sessions invite participants to slow down, observe the natural world, and create original poems rooted in place, memory, and personal experience. 

Held at scenic locations throughout Crissy Field and Presidio Tunnel Tops, each workshop explores a different theme, including poetry of place, grief and healing, and landscape writing. No previous poetry experience is required, making the series welcoming to writers, nature lovers, and anyone looking to connect with the park in a creative way. 

Presented by the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, Poetry in the Parks celebrates Crissy Field as both a restored natural landscape and a place of reflection, community, and inspiration. Workshops are free with advance registration and space is limited.
