Presidio Discoveries: VIDEO - Variable Checkerspot Butterflies Re-introduced to the Presidio

With support from the Presidio Natural Resources team, the winged wonders are thriving.

For the second year, the Presidio’s Natural Resources team has worked to re-introduce the variable checkerspot butterflies into the park. They’ve been working with volunteers in a few locations and so far, so good – the winged wonders have been thriving. In this short video, learn more from wildlife ecologists Jonathan Young and David Harelson about why this project is so important to the Presidio.
