The Presidio is a people-powered park, co-created and sustained by its passionate and supportive community. If you’re looking for ways to show your love for the Presidio, we have three ways you can give back to the park and help keep it a beautiful place for all to enjoy.
There are many ways you can volunteer in the park, from restoring native habitat to welcoming visitors at Presidio Tunnel Tops. Invite your friends and co-workers to join in the fun. Our volunteer programs are great team experiences for community organizations, youth groups, schools and faith groups.
Shop at the Presidio Visitor Center, the Warming Hut Park Store, and the Golden Gate Welcome Center and/or become a member of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and help preserve the Golden Gate National Parks’ ancient redwood forests, historic landmarks, beaches, wildlife habitat, and open spaces that belong to us all. Members also receive many great year-round benefits.
The park is home to more than 200 organizations, including many that directly serve visitors. When you eat in a restaurant in the park or from a food vendor at Presidio Pop Up, stay in a lodge, buy from a Presidio business, or even pay a parking fee, you’re supporting the upkeep and restoration of the park. Proceeds from commercial operations and residential rents also enable the Presidio to operate with minimal reliance on taxpayer dollars.
