San Francisco, CA (August 06, 2026) — World Arts West (WAW) presents the third and final weekend of the 2026 World Arts West Dance Festival, at the East Meadow of Presidio Tunnel Tops on Sunday September 6, from 1pm – 4pm. This free, family-friendly outdoor celebration brings live performances, interactive workshops, and community participation to the Presidio for the fifth year in a row. Its theme, Legacy of Liberation, explores the ideas of legacy, empowerment, and belonging, and highlights the resilience of community arts in the Bay Area.

Building on its longstanding partnership with the Presidio, the festival’s closing weekend transforms one of San Francisco’s most scenic public spaces into a vibrant gathering place where audiences experience the richness of global dance traditions. “Through our partnership with the Presidio we are able to offer these performances free of charge, making the festival more accessible for both our performers and our audience,” says Andréa Spearman, associate programs and community engagement manager, World Arts West. “The power of dance is its ability to connect us across cultures, inspire healing, and create joy. We are grateful to World Arts West for bringing that spirit to the Presidio and creating a space where everyone feels welcomed, celebrated, and in community,” says Andrea Tacdol, Community Partnerships Manager at the Presidio Trust.
