Choose from three stunning Presidio venues with iconic views of the San Francisco bay.

If you’re looking to host an intimate wedding, the Presidio has an array of options that work perfectly year-round.

With three locations to choose from and with views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and San Francisco’s city skylines, we have something for everyone. Each space can accommodate 15 to 25 people, with the ability to hire one photographer and one acoustic musician. Reservations are available daily from April 1   to October 31 with two time slots a day: 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. From November 1 to March 31 there’s one time slot:10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  

We encourage casual weddings that embrace the natural beauty of the site. For this reason, we don’t allow decorations.

Bay Overlook at Presidio Tunnel Tops 

Enjoy sweeping views at Bay Overlook. This intimate spot is tucked away right on Presidio Tunnel Tops. With views of the Bay, Alcatraz, and Crissy Marsh, how could you not say I do! This location is perfect for couples who want to be close to the action with a bit of privacy.

Small Weddings and Ceremonies in the Presidio

Celebrate your love with a small wedding or ceremony right here at the Presidio of San Francisco. Enjoy all the Presidio has to offer with three unique locations to accommodate an array of needs.  

Make a Reservation 

Small Weddings and Ceremonies can be made year-round with high season from April 1 to October 31 and low season from November 1 to March 31.  Reservations are self-service and can be made at Recreation.gov available on a six-month rolling basis. 

Cost  

Reservations are $250.00 total with an application fee of $10.00 and a security deposit of $50.00. The security deposit is refundable if all Terms and Conditions are followed.  

Facilities and Amenities 

There are three (3) Small Wedding and Ceremony sites that can accommodate 15 to 25 people. Each site is unique and features a different atmosphere depending on the couple’s needs. For this type of reservation, you’re allowed two (2) third party vendors, an acoustic musician, and a photographer. No additional decorations may be added to these spaces.

Yes, you’re required to make a reservation for a small wedding or ceremony at the Presidio through Recreation.gov. These three (3) sites are currently the only locations available for small wedding reservations.

Presidio Small Weddings and Ceremonies  

Reservations can also be made by calling (877) 444-6777 daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. PST (except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day). 

Maximum capacities for each venue are as follows:  

Bay Overlook: 15 people  

Parklands Overlook: 25 people  

Golden Gate Viewpoint at Battery Bluff: 25 people

No, caterers and food vendors of any kind are not allowed. If you’re interested in having a catered event, consider one of the event rental venues in the Presidio.   

Pop–up tents and shade structures are not allowed at any of the small wedding and ceremony locations. The use of chuppahs requires advance approval and the chuppahs must be hand-supported. Due to fire safety guidelines, freestanding chuppahs are not permitted. You’re allowed up to six (6) folding chairs per location. No other furniture is permitted. 

We encourage couples to embrace the natural beauty of the Presidio. We don’t allow any decorations at the small wedding and ceremony locations. Reframe from using any balloons, arches, flower petals, or any other materials that may litter the site.
