Our highest priority is the health and well-being of the park’s visitors, residents, tenants, and employees. The Presidio Trust continues to follow the San Francisco Department of Public Health’s requirements to reduce the spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus in our community. Guidelines were updated on March 31, extending the shelter-in-place order through May 3 in six Bay Area counties.

Public events and volunteer programs at the Presidio are cancelled through May 3, and park-operated public facilities such as the Presidio Visitor Center and the Presidio Officers’ Club are closed, as are parking lots in coastal areas (https://www.nps.gov/goga). In addition, Presidio playgrounds, tennis courts, ball fields, and picnic areas are closed. The PresidioGo Shuttle is running on a reduced schedule.

The Presidio’s trails and open spaces remain open for public enjoyment, with social distancing practices in place. Please stay six feet away from others, do not gather in groups, and avoid crowded areas. Help keep the parks clean and safe by packing out all trash. While trails remain open, sections of some trails will temporarily close to dog walking on April 6 due to coyote pupping season. See the website for a map.

Visitors are encouraged to stay connected with us by signing up for the Presidio newsletter, which offers ways to enjoy the park online.

For information about tenant organizations located in the Presidio, please visit their individual websites.
