United States Park Police

The Presidio of San Francisco is a national park site governed by federal law. Presidio visitors, residents, and tenants are subject to all applicable laws, as well as Presidio Trust and National Park Service regulations regarding law enforcement at the Presidio, including traffic, use and possession of weapons, alcoholic beverages, and controlled substances. Law enforcement and security in the Presidio are provided by the United States Park Police.

  • Direct all EMERGENCY calls to (415) 561-5656. Do NOT call 911 from a cell phone as that will direct calls to a dispatch center outside of the Presidio, potentially increasing response times.
  • To request a report with the U.S. Park Police, call their non-emergency dispatch line at (415) 561-5505.

San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD)

The San Francisco Fire Department serves the Presidio and has a station located at 218 Lincoln Boulevard on the Presidio’s Main Post, immediately adjacent to the Presidio Transit Center.

  • Direct all EMERGENCY calls to (415) 561-5656. Do NOT call 911 from a cell phone as that will direct calls to a dispatch center outside of the Presidio, potentially increasing response times.
  • Contact the Fire Department for non-emergency matters by calling (415) 558-3200.
