Presidio Pop Up with special DJ performances

Come out to the park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 31 for the Presidio Pop Up DJ Series and enjoy great food, good music, and amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge. For August, we’ll feature husband and wife Erik Danielson and Mory Chhom, who’ll bring their record collection and play a curated selection of jazz, reggae, ska, funk, and soul. The Presidio Pop Up DJ Series takes place on the last Saturday of the month through October.

About Erik Danielson and Mory Chhom

Erik and Mory first met through their mutual love of music 20 years ago at a house party in Chico. Since then, they’ve been committed to collecting records that reflect their shared interest in rap music, jazz, reggae, ska, funk, and soul. Mory is focused on obscure records from the beginnings of the first wave of ska and the golden era of records from her native Cambodia. Erik has dived deep into the music which made hip hop, focusing on obscure funk and international cuts. When not playing records, Mory can be found working in public health and Erik can be found surrounded by first graders. They both strive to include the values of community, kindness, and artistry, and they hope to enjoy sharing the fun of music together for the rest of their lives.
