What to Expect at This Event

Gather around the campfire and join National Park Service rangers for free talks at Presidio Tunnel Tops Campfire Circle near the Presidio Visitor Center, offered every day from 4 to 4:30 p.m.

Park rangers will present histories of the diverse people who’ve passed through the Presidio through time – this includes indigenous history past and contemporary, military stories like those of the Buffalo Soldiers all African American regiments, Japanese Americans interned during WWII, those who led the transition from Army post to national park site, and more.

No registration needed. Topics vary and are not posted in advance. Bring your curiosity and questions!

All visitors can warm up around the campfire, operating daily from 4-5:30 pm.
