Once Upon a Mattress at Presidio Theatre

The Children’s Theatre Association of San Francisco presents Once Upon a Mattress (Youth Edition) at Presidio Theatre. This lively musical comedy retells the classic fairy tale The Princess and the Pea with humor, music, and plenty of unexpected twists. 

Set in a kingdom where no one can marry until Prince Dauntless finds a bride, the story follows Queen Aggravain’s impossible tests for potential princesses. When Princess Winifred the Woebegone arrives, her bold spirit and unconventional approach lead to a final, hilarious test involving mattresses and a pea. Designed for elementary school audiences, this youth-friendly production is filled with singing, dancing, and playful characters.
