Come to the area outside the Field Station at Presidio Tunnel Tops for the Parks Conservancy’s Fungus Fair and explore the weird and wonderful world of fungus! Learn the process of how mushrooms grow, how to identify them in the wild, and what ecologists have been learning about fungus in the park
Weather can be variable in the Presidio, so we recommend bringing layers in case of fog/wind, and a hat/sunscreen in case it’s sunny. Heavy rain will cancel this program. The site is wheelchair-accessible, with gender-neutral, wheelchair-accessible bathrooms available on-site. For more information on accessibility at Presidio Tunnel Tops, visit the Accessibility page.
This event is fully outdoors, so masks will be optional, but tune into others around you and mask up when approaching anyone else wearing a mask.
Registration is not required – feel free to drop by anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.!
This event is hosted by the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy.
