What to Expect at This Event

The Presidio Theatre continues its collaboration with San Francisco’s iconic 111 Minna Gallery, bringing some of the Bay Area’s most vibrant visual artists to the heart of the Presidio.

The latest installation features work by Andrew Pick and Ursula Xanthe Young—two San Francisco-based artists whose distinct practices reflect a shared reverence for the city’s ever-changing light, landscape, and spirit.

Trained at the City College of San Francisco and The Art Students League of New York, Andrew Pick creates pastel and oil plein air paintings that capture the city’s streets and skies with intimacy and immediacy.

Ursula Xanthe Young is known throughout the Bay Area and beyond for her intricate cityscapes, feminine iconography, and dreamlike urban scenes that reimagine San Francisco as both myth and memory.

Celebrate the opening with a free in-person reception featuring drinks and conversation, plus a special Artist 2 Artist Talk between Andrew Pick and Ursula Xanthe Young, moderated by returning artist Rhonel Roberts.

Following the opening, the exhibition will remain on display in the Presidio Theatre lobby through the summer during Presidio Theatre show nights, accessible with ticketed entry.
