Antonio Sanchez “Birdman Live” 10th Anniversary at Presidio Theatre

Experience the Academy Award–winning Best Picture Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) with a live score performed at Presidio Theatre. Four-time GRAMMY Award winner Antonio Sánchez, one of the leading drummers in international jazz, takes the stage to recreate his original solo drum soundtrack during a screening of the film. 

Because much of the original score was improvised, each live performance is distinct, offering audiences a rare opportunity to witness Sánchez’s creative process in real time. Starring Michael Keaton, Edward Norton, Emma Stone, and Naomi Watts, Birdman becomes an immersive cinematic and musical experience as image and rhythm unfold together.
