The Presidio is a great place for a hike, a moment of meditation, a walk along the beach, or a festive day with food trucks and friends. It’s also the perfect spot to find art in unexpected places – whether it’s off a trail, in a chapel, in an old gun battery, or even on the Main Post.
In honor of our latest exhibition curated by FOR-SITE Foundation’s Cheryl Haines,
Home Land Security, we asked visitors to the Presidio to share their “artful” images of art in the Presidio. This month, our pick of the month comes from @margetimog, who shared an image of Andy Goldsworthy’s awe-inspiring Spire– one of four site-specific art installations in the Presidio, the largest collection of Goldsworthy’s work on public view in North America.
Follow us on Instagram and share your Presidio images using #PresidioSF.
