#PresidioSF: Art in the Presidio

We asked our Instagram followers to share their favorite photos of art in the Presidio.

SHARE

The Presidio is a great place for a hike, a moment of meditation, a walk along the beach, or a festive day with food trucks and friends. It’s also the perfect spot to find art in unexpected places – whether it’s off a trail, in a chapel, in an old gun battery, or even on the Main Post.

In honor of our latest exhibition curated by FOR-SITE Foundation’s Cheryl Haines,
Home Land Security
, we asked visitors to the Presidio to share their “artful” images of art in the Presidio. This month, our pick of the month comes from @margetimog, who shared an image of Andy Goldsworthy’s awe-inspiring Spire– one of four site-specific art installations in the Presidio, the largest collection of Goldsworthy’s work on public view in North America.

Follow us on Instagram and share your Presidio images using #PresidioSF.
