Offering a full-day, full-year school in a park setting for children 2-5 years old.
The Cow Hollow School in the Presidio of San Francisco offers a curriculum based on the constructivist philosophy where children construct knowledge and understanding from authentic experiences – they’re encouraged to explore possibilities, invent solutions, collaborate with others, and try out ideas in the context of meaningful experiences. These real-life experiences make connections that inspire and provoke, fostering inquiry and critical thinking.
Parental involvement is a critical component of Cow Hollow School. Parents act as partners in the classroom, working alongside the teachers during the school year. Parents are given an opportunity within the low adult-child ratio setting to closely observe and learn from and with their children with support and guidance from experienced teachers. As a result of this unique setting, partnership and experiences, learning, teaching, and parenting are enriched and transformed.
