About the Role

The Presidio Trust is seeking a Project Coordinator who will support Building Stewardship. Once an Army post, the Presidio of San Francisco is now a new kind of national park. The 1,500-acre Presidio is richly layered in history, is a natural oasis for wildlife, plants, and people, and offers iconic views known around the world. In its third decade as a park, public awareness and enjoyment of this exceptional place continues grow.

This is a full-time position with benefits and a starting at $42.13 per hour. This position is included in a bargaining unit, specifically The Laborer’s International Union of North America, Local 792, United Public Employees of California. Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site supervision for contractors. Schedule and coordinate contractors with tenants and with staff across all Presidio Trust Departments. Provide quality assurance for all contract work. Schedule, track, coordinate, and complete contract work orders.
  • Provide detail-oriented field supervision of contractors working in the Turn and occupied units and making sure the work is done up to the standards of the Building Maintenance Department, while minimally impacting the tenants.
  • Provide support to all Presidio Trust Departments by fielding the Work Orders generated for contractors. This includes interactions and scheduling with tenants, contractors and staff via email and phones calls, and tracking the work through Yardi and Excel.
  • Inspect completed work to make sure it is done properly and documenting findings in the Yardi program.
  • Responsible for access, tenant interaction and contractor oversight for emergency work orders.
  • Serve as point of contact and oversight in the field for contractors, tenants, and staff on larger or longer projects like the West Washington Window Project. Collect information and data, analyze and report for the cost of ownership project.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent and 1-year related vendor management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work and be familiar with Federal contract development and process, including certified payroll, insurance, bond requirements and health & safety practices.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Demonstrate competent use of Microsoft Project Microsoft Office, and Excel.

About the Building Stewardship Department

The Presidio is an extraordinary place to work for the thousands of employees of approximately one hundred businesses who lease commercial space in the park. More than 3.5 million square feet of non- residential space is located throughout the park. Driver’s License Investigation & Review

This position requires a current, valid Driver’s License prior to starting work, and maintenance of a driver’s license throughout occupancy of the position. You will be subject to a driver’s license investigation as a New Entrant, and annual driver’s license reviews thereafter. An individual’s granting of an investigation and resulting reports thereafter is voluntary, however, employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a driver’s license investigation. The Trust may refuse to hire an individual, rescind an offer of employment, or review and terminate the employment of a current employee who does not successfully complete the driver’s license investigation.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

All Presidio Trust employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption. Employment is contingent upon submitting a COVID-19 Certification of Vaccination or qualifying for an exemption when hired.
