The Presidio Trust is seeking a Marketing Manager to join the Marketing and Communications Department. Once an Army post, the Presidio of San Francisco is now a new kind of national park. The 1,500-acre Presidio is richly layered in history, is a natural oasis for wildlife, plants, and people, and offers iconic views known around the world. In its third decade as a park, public awareness and enjoyment of this exceptional place continues grow.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for strategy, project management, implementation, and tracking of external marketing communications campaigns that support audience development goals for the Presidio Trust. Works as part of a cross-functional marketing team utilizing and implementing best practices in brand management, market segmentation, public relations, advertising, digital marketing, and design to support cohesive marketing communications efforts. Tests, launches and analyzes marketing campaigns that support the audience and/or business development goals and reports on campaign performance. Serves as the account manager for work with the visitor engagement team, and other departments, as assigned, ensuring their work is folded in broader brand and marketing strategies. Pursues the Trust’s goal of welcoming a broad diverse public to visit and engage with the park.
This is a full-time position with benefits and a starting pay range of $102,888 to $117,294. The starting base salary is dependent on the experience and qualifications of the candidate. Applications received by September 8, 2023, will receive first consideration.

The Marketing Communications team advances and protects the reputation Presidio and Presidio trust with the public, stakeholders and employees in partnership with the National Park Service and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. Our work in growing awareness of the place and agency brands, attracting new audiences and deepening the emotional connection between visitors, stakeholders, and employees ensures the Trust meets its mission of brining national park experiences to urban populations at no cost to taxpayers. In 2022 Time Magazine named the Presidio as one of the top 22 places to visit in the world, and the New York Times credited the park’s opening of the Presidio Tunnel Tops as why San Francisco’s reputation is turning the tide as a “must-see” place to be.
This position requires a current, valid Driver’s License prior to starting work, and maintenance of a driver’s license throughout occupancy of the position. You will be subject to a driver’s license investigation as a New Entrant, and annual driver’s license reviews thereafter. An individual’s granting of an investigation and resulting reports thereafter is voluntary, however, employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a driver’s license investigation. The Trust may refuse to hire an individual, rescind an offer of employment, or review and terminate the employment of a current employee who does not successfully complete the driver’s license investigation.
